Severe migraines during pregnancy. Are there any medications?
My husband and I want to try to get pregnant next year. Since I suffer from severe migraines every now and then…. is there a medication out there that treats migraines for women who are pregnant?
Also is it ok to be on a low 20mg dosage of a beta blocker (blood pressure med)? Im on it now to help block migraines. I was wondering if its ok to be on blood pressure medication if i were pregnant.
When I was pregnant my best friend was one of the little scented pillows that are sorta like a small bean bag that you can throw in the microwave for 2 minutes to heat up……between the scent and the heat they worked wonders for headaches……plus good for other little aches and pains that come with it. All medications you need to discuss with your Dr before trying to get pregnant. Many are very dangerous to the baby. Im pretty sure blood pressure meds are bad……why the only thing they can do for preeclamptia is bed rest, watch salt intake, and try give drugs so baby would be ok to be born early, and to induce early labor if gets too bad. I know I had preeclamptia (fortunately not til the end of my pregnancy) and they could not put me on anything to control my blood pressure until after i gave birth.
