Pregnancy Organic Milk

pregnancy organic milk
Breastfeeding? breast milk help?

What are good foods to eat to help lactaion milk? I am currently the herbal pill "Fenugreek" and "organic milk tea drinking" to help breastfeeding good milk, but can not seem to maintain a good flow full health. Or is it normal for breasts to look as they did before pregnancy after the start breastfeeding?

Please not take herbs if you have a low supply has been properly evaluated by a lactation specialist. The more often a woman produces more milk than the baby needs and herbs that women will only produce more milk. Oversupply can cause problems for mother and plugged ducts and mastitis, and problems for the baby as flatulence, choking during feeding, abdominal pain, diarrhea, intestinal bleeding. The usual cause of a child not getting enough milk, the baby is not locked on properly and therefore not getting the milk that is there. More schedules or deadlines fools in the chest may be the culprit. However, if a baby is taken enough wet and dirty diapers and gaining weight and getting enough milk. PERIOD. No if and or buts. No matter Do your breasts look like or what Often the baby is fed. Milk production is low? # Supply http://www.kellymom.com/bf/supply/low-supply.html "What if you are not sure to take the current weight baby (baby may not have had an audit of the weight time)? If the baby is having enough wet and dirty these things do not mean that you have a low milk supply: * Your baby nurses frequently. Breast milk is digested quickly (usually in 1.5-2 hours), so breastfed babies need to eat more often than formula fed babies. Many babies have a strong need to suck. In addition, babies often need continuous contact with the mother to feel safe. All these things are normal, and you can not spoil your baby by meeting those needs. * Your baby is greatly increased in frequency and / or duration of feeding. Often there is an acceleration of growth. The baby sucks more (which lasts usually a few days a week), which increases their milk production. Do not offer baby supplements when this happens: supplementing will inform your body that the baby does not need the extra milk, and its offer will decline. * Your baby nurses more often and hard in the afternoon. * Your baby does not nurse as long as it did before. As older babies and nursing best able to become more efficient pumping. The baby is restless. Many babies have a difficult time day – often at night. Some babies more restless at the time. This can be for many reasons, and sometimes irritability disappears before the reason. * Your baby drinks from a bottle of formula or expressed milk after nursing. Many babies do not hesitate to take a bottle even after nutrition full in the chest. More tips here Certified Lactation Consultant Kathy Kuhn about why baby may do this and how it can affect production milk. Of course, if you regularly to the baby after breastfeeding, your milk will decrease (see below). * Your breasts do not leak milk, or just a spill or leak to stop. Leak has nothing to do with their milk. He often stops after your milk has been adapted to the needs of your baby. * The breasts suddenly seem softer. Again, this usually occurs after the milk has been adapted to the needs of your baby. * You never feel sensation of disappointment, or does not seem as strong as before. Some women do not feel disappointed. It has nothing to do with milk production. * You have very little milk when the pump or not. The amount of milk can be extracted is not an accurate measure of your milk. A baby with the sound of sucking breast milk more effectively than any that pump. In addition, pumping is an acquired skill (different than nursing), and can be highly dependent on the pump. Some women who supplies plenty of milk can not get the milk when the pump. It is also very common and normal for pumping output to decrease over time. "Is the baby getting enough milk Http: / Www.kellymom.com / / bf / supply and enough milk.html

Pregnancy Nutrition Plans

pregnancy nutrition plans
HELP! develop a realistic nutrition and exercise plan to summarize in a 1,400- to 1,750-word paper.?

The plan should be plausible enough to be initiated within the next 30 days and continued throughout your life. Be sure to include the following:
•Identification of the health/nutrition problem targeted
•Four nutritional or physical exercise goals
•Actions taken to meet each goal
•Anticipated setbacks or difficulties, and methods to overcome them
•Outcomes by which to measure success
•Evidence of the plan’s effectiveness in addressing the identified problem or need
•Identification of potential health risks that may develop if the plan is not implemented

Your paper should also address how your plan may be adjusted to fit your changing nutritional needs as a result of age, pregnancy (if applicable), or changes in physical capabilities. Be sure to include information about physical activities, and how they may be altered to accommodate different seasons of the year and changes in age. Include all applicable references in APA format.

Finding the initial information for this really rests on exactly what kind of nutritional regimen you want to implement and what kind of exercise is realistic for you. Once you know these then its a matter of a littel online research. You can research various dietary modifications (such as increasing your intake of specific ingredient salads) and find documentation on others that have done so and what their results were.

Then you research the exercise plan you want to start finding information online from people who have been doing it for w hile and have documented their results.

once you have this information you will need to review others results and look for the specific information that would apply to your situation. If there or precautions you need to take in order to implement a certain nutrition strategy then write those down. Also do the same for the exercise plans.

Now make an honest inventory of any and everything in your life that would keep you from completely implementing the pla you have come up with.

If you do all this then you should have all the documentation and information you need to complete your assignment.

Now its just up to you to go do it!!!

Good luck!

Pregnancy Hungry

pregnancy hungry
why did you start to feel really hungry during pregnancy?

i have been having unprotected sex and havent had a period yet due in 3 days. but last week or so i just want to eat all the time. i usually only have 1 main meal a day with small snacks in between as im not a person who gets hungry much or eats much but lately i have been so hungry and eating all time!

thanks :)
with both my sons i never felt hungry until i was over due with both. i had really bad morning sickness so never wanted to eat
oh and i ment when not why opps!

Being really hungry can definitely be a pregnancy symptom before a missed period! All the women in my family had this symptom and then missed their period. My mom said this is how she knew she was pregnant.

The thing is though, it can be PMS also. I get really hungry when I PMS. But since it seems like this isn’t a normal PMS symptom for you then it could possibly be a pregnancy symptom! :)

Is it okay to microwave your food during pregnancy esp. 1st trimester and to not cover it while microwaving?

Also is it okay to eat olives during pregnancy, a lot? And pistachios? I am 12 weeks first time and just want to do everything right…I keep hearing all these random things about things you shouldn’t do or eat.

I have never heard anything bad about microwaving your food while pregnant, and I have 2 kids and microwaved everything both pregnancies and have 2 perfectly “normal” kids! And I think Olives and Pistachios are fine too! But I know how nervous I was when I was pregnant the first time, so asking never hurts!

Your Diet During Pregnancy: Going Organic Without Breaking Your Budget

Switching to all-natural and organic products is one of the best decisions you can make for your diet during pregnancy. Unfortunately, switching to these products is often viewed as costly, difficult, or simply too much to handle at one time.

If you really are ready to make huge changes in your life as your pregnancy advances, you can take a step in the right direction by switching to these products over time. In this article, we present a strategy for going organic without going crazy—and without breaking the bank as well.

While high-quality foods and sound nutrition are important during pregnancy, avoiding stress is important too. You can implement these changes so that you aren’t feeling stressed or overwhelmed, thus getting the best of both worlds, so to speak, over the next nine months. The key is in taking baby steps toward your goal–because even the smallest step towards a healthy lifestyle is a step in the right direction.

Substitute Whole Foods for Processed Foods

Let’s start with the most basic change you can make: switching from processed foods to whole foods. Rather than eating lunch meat during pregnancy, you could switch to a protein source for lunch that is whole and all-natural. You might opt for a piece of organic grilled chicken, or wild salmon twice a week (it’s high in Omega-3 fatty acids, so it’s great for your developing baby).

For a vegetarian option, a handful of raw nuts or some nut butter are both excellent protein sources. Processed foods such as deli meat simply contain too many preservatives and fillers which can cause troubling side effects, such as too much weight gain, during pregnancy.

Try One New Organic Item per Week

When you do your weekly shopping, try substituting one organic item per trip to the store. The first week, you might elect to buy organic eggs rather than regular eggs. On the next trip, continue buying organic eggs, but add organic butter to your cart. By slowly introducing these changes, you can see the difference buying organic really makes to your weekly budget.

When your budget simply gets too tight to handle any more organic food purchases, then stop. What you are doing is finding your comfort zone. If you went out and purchased all organic and all-natural food products in one week, you might break your budget and decide that you can’t go organic at all. It’s not an all-or-nothing proposition, so find your comfort level and stick with it.

Shop at Your Local Farmer’s Market

You might be surprised at the bargains you can find at your local farmers’ market, especially on organic produce and dairy products. If you attend during the last hour or so of operation, you might find vendors willing to make a bulk sale–or at least slash prices–rather than pack their wares back up to take home.

Shopping at a farmers’ market also offers the benefit of allowing you to shop by season, which is usually cheaper than sticking to certain kinds of produce regardless of the time of year. Going to a farmers’ market is also great entertainment, and allows you to support local farmers. It’s a win-win situation–make sure to try it out.

Look Online for Great Bargains

On the opposite end of the spectrum from farmers’ markets are online shopping sites. You can order almost any kind of organic product online—and usually at a better price than your local grocery store can offer. Many people opt to purchase organic meats online and have them delivered regularly to their front door. It’s worth a try, and can save a lot of money and valuable time.

Diabetic Diet ….?

My cousin was on a Diabetic diet when she was pregnant, she just delivered the baby, and doesn’t have it anymore, its some sort of pregnancy thing, dunno, anyway… I was wondering what the diet was that you have to follow, because she looks great now! Please give me some tips on it if you know. I heard it is very healthy!

Okay i’ve been a diabetic since I was 5 and now i’m 14.The diabetic diet does work trust me i’m 14 and I only weigh 95 pounds! These rules may seem tough but diabetics don’t have a choice because our live depend on it.Basically this is with any diet in the world but one of the most important things is to exercise for 30 to 45 minutes a day!Very important you do that!Alright normal people eat usually 3 meals a day and a snack. But with the diabetic diet you eat 6 small meals a day.The way you figure out these small meals is by counting carbohydrates and eating low or no sugar foods. For me if I choose to eat a big meal it’s 65 carbs and snacks are 30 carbs. You should ask your doctor about a low carb diet and he/she will tell you how many carbs you yourself should have because everyone is different. Also before I got diabetes I always drank pepsi and I was a chunky kid.Ever since I started drinking diet sodas i’ve slimmed down alot and diet sodas aren’t as nasty as everyone says-diet coke with lime is amazingly good!I know i’ve already told you alot but if you want to know anything else or have questions you can email me or im me.

Thin and depressed, or fat and “happy” (Zoloft)?

I have been taking Zoloft (50 mg) everyday for the past 6 years. Except during my pregnancy, 3 years ago. In those 6 years I have gained 50 pounds! I have tried everything to prevent the weight gain and lose it, but to no prevail. I lead a moderately active lifestyle and eat healthy. I know it’s the medicine. I want to wean off, but am worried about the depression returning (as it did when I stopped before). I’ve tried welbutrin in the past which did not work for me. I want to be pill-free. Are there any tips, advice or similar experiences out there?

Try lexapro, I used to take zoloft and many other meds. Lexapro was the best one for me. Zoloft was actually the worst pill for me. At GNC you can also find a lot of herbal teas and medicines to help manage depression. I think after six years you can try to stop taking them if things go bad again you can always go back and take them. I mean dont you think depending on meds for the rest of your life is depressing? If you do get off the pill your weight might not even change.

Medicaid and food stamps in Texas.?

So I am a resident of Washington. I am moving to Texas soon. I will not get a job, I realley really want but I do not think anyone will hire me because I'm two months pregnant. Well, I have no health insurance after my divorce is final, and need only temporary relief. The government offered to Texas as the state of Washington with a prenatal program for low-income households Income / mothers. I will not pay the rent insurance private, and I'm planning ahead. The same food stamps, WIC, so you can actually eat, and live a healthy pregnancy and not be at nutritional risk. Opps I forgot to say that I am living with my mother BF until he returns home from deployment and we got married, I have insurance and more revenue to help me with him until he returns to home for good next year.

Once you get here you have to go to the local department of health and human services and complete an application stamp Food and Medicaid. It's the same application. Because you are pregnant, you can not deny either. WIC is a separate process, but only if you have an address (And must use your zip code to find your local office) and related documentation, such as identification, proof of income (if any) to be well. Good luck

Pregnancy Diabetes

pregnancy diabetes
What is the exact level of diabetes during pregnancy?

Hi I have 28 weeks pregnant and suffer from gestational diabetes, and last week I have followed closely my blood sugar in the blood after a special diet and regular exercise. And after all that my blood sugar was checked but sometimes it is sometimes 5m/mol its less than a required level which means 6.7m/mol (after meals). So I was wondering when it falls 7m/mol provided good or less is better?

Less is better, but it's not something you should also stress about the time that is less than 7 years. Stress can increase the sugar in the blood. Eat a healthy diet, daily exercise, and do not worry. You should be aware that many women who have had gestational diabetes develop type II diabetes later in life. You should also take into account that can be prevented. The most important thing you can do now is to learn all that can be a healthy environment rich in nutrients, calories, low in carbohydrates. Basically, this means that more raw organic fruits and vegetables and less artificial products that have been stripped of nutrients important. The nutrients that keep cells and organs. When cells get sick, that become resistant to insulin. It is when the pancreas produces too much insulin and glucose levels in the blood increases. This can cause several things to happen and that is why a high percentage of the population is not healthy. More information, search for the metabolic syndrome to see exactly what is happening in your body. Watch the video linked below, is revealing:

Pregnancy Diabetes Screening

pregnancy diabetes screening
Is it too early to do the 3 hour glucose screen at week 11 of pregnancy?

I had gestational diabetes that was deteced at week 24 of my previous pregnancy, therefore, my doc had me to the 3-hr glucose screen at week 11 of my current pregnancy. The results were normal (whew). Was it truly effective to do the test this early, especially when they didn’t detect sugar in my urine? Also, will I have to do the test again later on?

Glucose screening for gestational diabetes at up to 18 weeks’ gestation may be an effective alternative to testing during the third trimester in certain cases, said Dr. Gerard C. Nahum of Duke University, Durham, N.C., and his associates.

The researchers gave 255 patients 50-g, 1-hour oral glucose screening tests between 14 and 18 weeks of pregnancy Fourteen women were diagnosed with gestational diabetes mellitus after that initial test and were excluded from the study The remaining patients had follow-up, 1-hour oral glucose screening tests between 24 and 32 weeks’ gestation.

Of the 38 women whose 16-week screening result was greater than 135 mg/dL, 21(55%) went on to develop gestational diabetes. And of the 155 patients whose results were lower than 110 mg/dL at 16 weeks, 99% (154) did not develop diabetes (J. Reprod. Med. 47[8]:656-62, 2002).

The study results suggest that early testing may be an acceptable alternative to third-trimester screening when the early value is less than 110 mg/dL, they said

Pregnancy Diet And Exercises

Pregnancy Diet – Watch your Nutrition

Pregnancy is not only most creative and fulfilling phase of womanhood but it teaches you to be more responsible and caring towards yourself particularly with respect to pregnancy diet and nutrition. In the pregnancy period, your baby, whom you are creating with your flesh and blood, is still very much part of your body and for that you need more nutrition intake. During pregnancy, nutritional needs are increased, both to support the rapid growing fetus and to supplement the needs of your changing body structure.

Plan your pregnancy diet in such a way that you are the only supply line for your unborn baby’s nutrition needs. Your eating habits will decide your baby’s health and well-being. Poor eating or rather unhealthy food habits can adversely affect your pregnancy diet and nutrition and result in conditions like anemia, pre-eclampsia, mood swings, fatigue, leg cramps, constipation, etc.

Pregnancy: Celebrate It With Healthy Pregnancy Diet

During pregnancy, every bite counts. Whatever an expectant mother eats or hates to eat, affects her child. According to a recent research, besides physical development, intelligence of a child and his/her mental faculty depends a lot on the diet and nutrition of the mother during pregnancy.

In the first trimester of pregnancy, one does not need extra calories per se in pregnancy diet. However, one needs to have lots of high protein, calcium, vitamins such as Vitamins B12, B6, vitamin D iron, zinc and folic acid (it has been proved after myriad researches that even a simple tablet of folic acid prevents severe neurological- brain and spinal cord disorders). In addition, minerals, essential fatty acids and substantial calories are all-important for the fetus’ all-round development and therefore should be essential components of pregnancy diet and nutrition plan.

As the pregnancy period progresses, one must start eating more of proteins in the pregnancy diet. A pregnant woman needs approximately 300 calories more than normal during last 6 months of pregnancy. In first three months of pregnancy, your weight gain should be 3-5 pounds in per month but in last 6 months, you should not gain more than 3 pounds per month. Your pregnancy diet and nutrition chart should be designed in accordance with these acceptable weight gain goals.

Foods To Include In Pregnancy Diet

You should include fresh, light, wholesome, high fiber foods in your pregnancy diet in form of porridge (minerals and natural fiber); dairy (calcium); red vegetables like carrot and tomatoes (carotene); red and orange fruits like apples and oranges (vitamin B complex). Walnuts, almonds and raisins (vitamin and minerals); leafy vegetables like cabbage, spinach, broccoli (calcium and iron); brown rice, jaggery, lotus stem (iron); sprouts, lentil and pulses (protein), curd, buttermilk, paneer and of course plenty of milk (calcium) are important ingredients of pregnancy diet.

During the pregnancy period, eat five small meals a day instead of three heavy meals. Also, reduce your intake of fat, sugar and salt. Do not indulge in overeating during pregnancy because if you eat too much you will feel uncomfortable.

One basic mantra of staying healthy is to drink lots of water (will prevent dehydration and wash out the toxins of body) as soon as you wake up in the morning and after your afternoon nap It helps clean your digestive system too. You might be scared you would vomit if you drink more water, when you have nausea, which is normal in pregnancy, but the fact is, water helps to flush out the toxins from your body.

During pregnancy, strictly avoid junk food because they just give you empty calories (and extra pounds) without the nutritional benefits of healthier foods also avoid caffeine and alcohol fats, oily food, additives and unpasteurized food.

Besides healthy eating and maintaining a healthy pregnancy diet and nutrition plan in consultation with your doctor, you should do yoga and other light exercises under expert medical advice. Last but not the least, try to remain stress free, meditate and in this period of your pregnancy increase your connectivity with the Almighty. This will definitely shower you and your baby with positive energy.

So, be cool, relax, and celebrate your pregnancy and be a responsible and caring mom-to-be with balanced pregnancy diet and nutrition.
