Were Old Wives Tales right in your case?
I am 19 weeks pregnant and having so much fun guessing the gender of my sencond child using old wives tales. And was wondering if anyother of you moms did the same thing. We find out in a couple of weeks what he or she is so it kind of helps to pass the time. This pregnancy im carrying the baby all in my hips, I have such a strong craving for oj, my breasts are much fuller than they were with my son, we used the ancient chinese gender chart and were thinking it’s a girl! I was just wandering if you all enjoy doing the same thing i would love to here your stories….(I know some say they are just myths and have no meaning so please don’t rain on my parade a little fun never hurt anyone) Thanks!
Hi! Congrats on the baby! I used the chinese chart and it said I was having a boy. I was carrying high, which indicated a girl. I craved all kinds of fruit, but mostly citrus, which also indicated a girl. I also put on weight all over, which some said was indicative of a boy. I found out during week 20 that I was having a girl. So, I guess some worked and some didn’t. Oh, her heartrate had always been around 160 up to that point, which I had heard meant I was having a boy. Didn’t try any other wives tales. My cousin swears by the Drano test. She said you pee into a cup that contains granulated drano, not the liquid kind. If it bubbles or fizzes it’s a boy. If it does nothing it’s a girl. I didn’t try it, but she swears it worked for her. Have fun!
It goes by your age at conception and the month you conceived. I’m just curious to see how well this works. I tried it for all of my siblings and it was right.
That’s crazy. xD It was right for all 3 of my sibling too.
It was correct with my daughter & it says that I’m having another girl this time. We’ll see.

Clarification of a pregnancy Myth…?
I know its only a myth, but i keep hearing different versions of it so thought of getting it clarified. This is for purpose of baby gender prediction, if mother is glowing its a boy and if its a girl, then mother is looking dull and bad as a girl steals mothers beauty… But in certain countries its the other way around. If the mother is looking tired,ugly and dark then its a boy, and if the mother luks beautiful and fairer then its a girl… which one is true? or which myth is more reliable in prediction? Your experiances pls?
I know its only a myth…. just wanted to know how the myth goes across difference countries/cultures..doing an online search… it says Boys= Glow, Girl=Steals beauty!! In India, its the other way around…
Well, when I was pregnant ( with a girl) everyone always commented on how beautiful I looked, they always said my skin looked so healthy and that I was glowing…however, I have seen the same in women who carried boys. I think its only a myth..it really probably depends on the women and how her body handles the pregnancy. I have always had good skin/complexion and nothing really changed during pregnancy..I think it looked really healthy because I drank excess water during pregnancy. Hope this helps.

how correct is ultrasound gender prediction ?
I am 30 weeks pregnant. I had my 2nd u/sound two days back. This time I ask about baby’s gender. The technician said that its baby girl. But I am feeling like its a boy b/cause baby is very active. I have four year old doughter, this time my pregnancy is different from last time. And also my doughter wants a baby brother. I only want to know are these predictions 100% correct? can anyone help me ?
They aren’t 100%, they are more likely to be right when telling you it’s a boy than telling you it’s a girl. If you think it’s a boy you might just have to wait another 10 weeks to find out.

Baby gender prediction kits?
I was looking on the net and they sale baby prediction kits. one that i saw you had to prick your finger and another you pee on just like a pregnancy test. Has anyone ever used these and Is there any doc or nurses on here that could tell me if it is ever possible to find out the sex of your baby, other then by ultrasound. They test claim you can take as early as 10 weeks. i am 17 weeks and i am dying to know if this one could be a girl

How accurate are these Chinese calendars?
Someone told me to check that the Chinese calendar and is the exact Most estimates of what the sex of my baby. I got pregnant in April, 19, and said Girl.
