Have you had a similar pregnancy and birth, your mother / grandmother?
I was wondering if anyone has any anecdotal evidence about whether a genetic effect on this or not? Does pregnancy takes the same amount was so premature or long? He has been working on the same page? Do you experience similar or different from the pain of childbirth?
My mother I was 2 weeks late, I had my daughter two weeks ago. My mother used to pass drug users had to have an epidural. My mother was at work with me for over 12 hours, I had my daughter at 8 hours after contractions began. I was older than my mother, my daughter is my oldest daughter. Completely different births.

Is it something that only a medical professional can handle, and that a woman’s body was poorly designed to birth children?

While I think it’s better if an ob-gyn oversees pregnancy and birth since they are able to do much more and have more training, keep in mind that women have been getting pregnant and having babies since the beginning of time! In fact, it was only in the last century that doctors became a definite presence during delivery, and that is mostly because there was a movement away from extreme pain during birth, and midwives did not have the sophisticated instruments that made the dangers of delivery less imminent (that’s typical to make the male-oriented profession have the better equipment!).
Midwives now are making a comeback, as more and more women realize that doctors don’t always make the best decisions about pregnancy and delivery. It is more acceptable now that women just listen to their bodies (like they did for many centuries and fared just fine!).
So I don’t know why you asked this question exactly, but I think that while the birthing process is a complicated medical procedure and not a barbeque, that it is also a very natural process.
If you’re more interested in this topic, I suggest Judith Walzer Leavitt’s “Brought to Bed: A History of Women and Childbirth, 1790-1950.” I think I remember the title correctly.

Losing weight after having a baby is never as easy as the celebrities make it out to be. If only we all had an entourage of fitness instructors and exercise gurus at our beck and call! However there are a few easy things you can do to lose your baby weight and trim your mummy tummy.
1. BREASTFEED your new baby. This has multiple well-documented benefits, as well as helping you literally shrink your body back to it’s pre-pregnancy size. You also bond with your baby, and breastfeeding ensures that your little one has direct access to the many the nutrients that breast milk contains. So you will lose your baby weight and have a happy healthy baby as well!
2. WALK as often as possible. Start this as soon as you can after your baby’s birth, health and weather permitting. I would recommend that you put the baby in the buggy and walk fairly briskly for around 20 minutes to start with, and aim to build it up to 40 minutes. Do this 3 or 4 times a week and you will start to see dramatic results. Of course the baby will benefit from all that fresh air and you’ll get out of the house as well which is excellent for your well being.
3. DO SIT UPS whilst carrying your baby on your chest. Make sure that baby is stable! Sit ups are known to be great for tightening those stomach muscles and doing them with baby means that you can bond with your baby as well as trimming your mummy tummy. Plus the baby’s weight provides extra resistance. Do around 10 to start with and build them up depending on your body strength. Remember to tilt your pelvis down into the floor so that your back is fully supported, and bend your knees.
4. VACUUMING is great for losing baby weight! I know this one may not be so popular (housework? you’re kidding right?) but if you can bring yourself to vacuum vigorously once a day, you will start to see that you will lose that mummy tummy!

Can a urine test for pregnancy test pick up diabetes?
Just wondering because my family always meant to have me tested but never bothered and a few months ago i had a urine test for pregnancy so if i had diabetes would it have picked it up or just tested for whatever you test for for pregnancy? They tested me in hospital btw.

urine tests are NOT good for picking up diabetes. urine tests for diabetes are WAAAYYY too inaccurate. The OLD way was with urine tests, but technology has greatly improved. Only aging doctors use a urine test.
the best test now is called A1C. This measures an average of your blood dugars over the last three months. Weight Gain Pregnancy – You Don’t Want to be One of These
Being a fitness trainer, over the past few decades I’ve seen quite a few new mothers join the gym in an effort to regain their figure after childbirth. God bless them for working at getting back in shape. But, my friends and I observed an all too common phenomena which could have made their recoveries so much easier had they avoided it. They were eating way too many calories from nutritionally void junk foods! We saw this scenario in the gym so often that we began to refer to this as a weight gain pregnancy.
Many of these mothers approached me for exercise and diet advice. From conversations I had with them, I realized that most were very aware of the additional nutrition needed during pregnancy for both themselves and their babies. And, most of them took precautions to eat nutritionally packed meals along with prenatal supplements. The culprit they seemed to have in common was the additional calories consumed in junk foods.
So the dilemma was in getting most, if not all, of their calories from highly nutritious low calorie foods. And, having the discipline to avoid the foods that have little or no nutritional value. Not only would they be able to avoid the dreaded weight gain pregnancy, but this is the healthy path for both mother and child.
Now, discipline often needs a friend, so here is what you are going to do. Purchase a book with a glycemic index and calorie count of foods, and check what you’re eating. Oh, and that’s before you put it in your mouth.
Count Your Calories
It’s generally accepted that you really only need an additional 300 calories a day during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimester. You will be surprised at the difference in the caloric content between the right foods and the wrong foods. You can eat more of the right foods, not to mention their nutritional value. Again, refer to your book and don’t be a weight gain pregnancy. I must add here, that any artificially sweetened low or no calorie product is basically poisoned gas. Stay far away from it.
Avoid Refined Sugars
Keeping your blood sugar level is always important to good health. This is especially so during pregnancy. Refined sugars spike your levels, then drop them way down, effecting your energy and moods. It also creates a vicious cycle. You will be less likely to freak out and binge if you can keep your blood sugar level. Eat small meals throughout your day, refer to your book and don’t be a weight gain pregnancy.
Substitute Old Goodies With New Goodies
When you’re dying for that piece of candy, eat frozen grapes or dried fruits. Instead of spooning in that ice cream, mix some fresh berries and nuts into non-fat frozen yogurt. Stay the heck away from soda pops. Instead, mix 100% fruit juice with mineral water. Go from processed to natural. Make this a habit and you won’t be a weight gain pregnancy as they are known in the gym. Try it; it really can be satisfying and effective.
MAYDAY
If you are about to commit homicide if you don’t get that box of brownies. And you really don’t care if you become a weight gain pregnancy at this point, set yourself aside one day out of the week to have a “cheat day.” Whether it’s Sunday or Tuesday, choose no more than one day a week to indulge yourself. Don’t go overboard, I’m not saying it’s OK to binge. Know that it will come again in just six more days. This can be a great way of helping you eat clean, or cleaner, for the rest of the week as well as keeping you sane.
Pregnancy can and will change your body, but there is so much you can do to regain or even improve your figure after childbirth. So, avoid a weight gain pregnancy, be strong now, and you will be so much closer to getting back into shape after you’re baby is born.

Is it possible to ovulate before CD14 and signs of pregnancy on CD15?

It seems that she became pregnant at least four weeks. Unless of hormones in the Clomid. Nausea can be a side effect of Clomid. Pregnancy symptoms are not usually begin before the 6th week. frequent urination and extreme fatigue are two main symptoms. If the side effects Clomid and pregnancy, it is hard to say.

need help to know if these are the first signs of pregnancy?
I know one of the first signs of pregnancy is having a discharge that is a little watery and sometimes white or a little off white that can look like cottage cheese
and I also know that your nipples can start to be itchy
now my two questions is:
1: do you get the watery white dishcharge more than once? Today I’ve been having a watery dishcharge and it kinda looks like cottage cheese(twice but the second time it was alot more thant the first one)
2: my nipples do get itchy but its not an all the time thing but when they do get itchy its for a long time and it always seems like I cant find the itch to stop it but I keep on having an itch
do you think I might be pregnant?

Those could be symptoms of many things. Itchy nipples could be due to irritation from certain bras or shirts you wear. Or it could just be an itch! The discharge could just mean you’re ovulating, or that you’re getting a yeast infection or other bacterial infection.
There’s a chance they could be pregnancy symptoms, but if those are the only symptoms of pregnancy that you have then I doubt it. Wait until you miss a period, get really sore/heavy breasts, get fatigue or morning sickness or lots of headaches before you start to assume you’re pregnant. Any sex leaves a chance of being pregnant but you can’t tell just by the two symptoms you described. Wait to see if you miss your period and then take a test.
